Long Winter
Wow its been to long since I did this. It was a quick summer but it has been a pretty long winter. Just when you think you are done it snows again. I think it has been a reacord breaking winter here in Virginia. I don't think I like the snow any more. I will post some pictures. My Aunt Paula (who was also my Godmother)passed away this week. It hit me a lot harder than I thought it would. I hadn't seen her in over 25 years. We were planning on having a little reunion this summer. I was so looking forward to seeing her. I really wish I hadn't waited so long. She will never get to see my boys and for that I am truely sad. They would have benefitted from knowing her. I have few memories of my dads side of the family but I do remember the love I always felt around Aunt Paula. She would send me little notes and tell me how proud she was of me. I am greatful that I was in contact with her. Finding her and Aunt Kay was a good thing. No matter what my dad does they are still family and if I've learned anything its that you should never take that for granted. They won't be there forever no matter what you believe or want. Take time everyday to make those moments count.
