Homecoming Part 2

Okay so I posted to early. This was Alex's first official dance. Aren't they to cute. I have to say that I am really enjoying the teen years. He has his moments but for the most part he is a wonderful young man. I am a very proud mom.

Homecoming Dance 10-11-08

Well it was another busy weekend but a fun one. We went to see the legwarmers as you can see. (they are the 80's cover band that we see all the time) We only get to see them once a year outside like this. It was a beautiful day .The weather was perfect all weekend. I found another church to. It is a good weekend when I can find an old church.

I forgot to post these. As you can tell I am playing catch up with my blog. This is a legwarmers concert that we went to a while ago. We had a really great night. The music was awesome as always and we had a really great group of people. Hopefully we will be able to go soon. Our schedules are all so crazy these days.

This is a really neat church I found in Manassas. I thought it looked cool.

Davids birthday

David even sang. It was a surprise party and I really got him. Alex kept him out running errands. Alex did a great job. David didn't see it coming at all. I thought he was going to fall over. It was a really good night. I think everyone had a really good time. I don't think I will be able to surprise him ever again but I would love to have another party.

Another trip to a winery. It was Cathy's birthday. I liked this one but I like the first one better. I am learning a thing or two. I think after twenty or thirty more trips I will have the wine thing down

Washington D.C.

Went to the gardens and saw some parts of D.C. I hadn't seen before. Ate at a very interestng restaurant. It really was a great weekend.

girls weekend

Spent the weekend in D.C. just the girls. It was wonderful. It did go by way to fast though. I wish it could have lasted a lot longer.Can't wait til next time.

wine tasting with friends

My first wine tasting. I had a great time. Meet some interesting people and saw some beautiful landscapes. Oh yeah had some good wine too.

Summer Is Here

Okay school is out. Yeah. I should be able to up date this a little more often( at least til september). Not that there is anything exciting going on around here. I am going to have a little surgery on the 27th, Kyle and David are going to boy scout camp on the 29th, and Alex starts summer school on the 30th. Not a terribly exciting summer but I will take it. With a good family and really good friends to spend it with it should be great.I hope everyone has a great summer and I will post some pictures as soon as I get some up.

Boring night at home(finally)

Sitting here on the couch having to put up with the loudness that is my Alex. He is a little of the wall(litterally) tonight but I love him anyway. Kyle is spending quiet time on the computer . We got our old new kitten back this weekend. Her name is Trouble. She was living with Krissy for awhile but Krissy is allergic to her. She is starting to relax around Winkie(cat) and Molly(dog), Buddy(dog), Gigi (dog) and of course Dude and Sweet(birds). Not that we even notice one more.

Okay it has been awhile, but can you see who is flying that plane. Can you believe it. Talk about a nervous mom.

What I got for Christmas 2

Okay like I said before, I am new at this. So as you can see I hit enter on the previous blog before I typed anything in. So as I was going to say.......I got this really great new lense for my camera. I am really bummed though because I haven't been able to use it. I can't wait to get out there and take some great shots. If any one can find me a little extra time please let me know :)
